Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise AI solutions across banking, healthcare, and other industries.

You will work on scalable backend services, modern web interfaces, and AI-enabled workflows using Python, Java, or Node.js. You will collaborate with Solution Architects, Data Scientists, Product Owners, UI/UX designers, and DevOps engineers to deploy secure, production-ready applications on cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Experience building modern web apps with React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, OOP, design patterns, and clean code.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerised app development.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and enterprise applications.
• Develop modern, responsive web applications and user interfaces.
• Build enterprise AI solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and workflow automation.
• Integrate applications with enterprise systems, databases, REST APIs, authentication platforms, and third-party services.
• Design and implement secure, scalable, and maintainable software following engineering best practices.
• Participate in solution architecture, technical design discussions, and technology evaluations.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, optimise, and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Data Scientists, UI/UX Designers, DevOps Engineers, and fellow Software Engineers.
• Continuously explore emerging technologies and contribute to improving engineering processes and product capabilities.
