DHL IT Services in Cyberjaya seeks an AI Architect to translate business needs into secure, scalable AI architectures across our global logistics platform.

You will lead from ideation to pilot and enterprise scaling, collaborating with business, architecture, data, cybersecurity and operations teams to deliver AI that is valuable, observable and compliant.

Hands-on experience with AI platforms, data and knowledge architecture, cloud and integration, plus Python expertise, is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven enterprise AI design experience from concept to production.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases.
• Understanding of cloud, containers, APIs, microservices, Python, data pipelines, SQL/NoSQL.

As an AI Architect, you will translate business needs into end-to-end AI architectures. You will guide solutions from ideation and proof of concept through pilot and enterprise scaling, using approved platforms, reusable patterns and clear guardrails. You will work with business, architecture, engineering, data, cybersecurity and operations teams to deliver AI that is valuable, secure, observable and sustainable.

Key responsibilities

• Assess business problems, define measurable success criteria and select the right approach across automation, machine learning, Generative AI (GenAI), RAG (Knowledge Base) and Agentic AI.
• Design end-to-end AI solutions covering models, data and knowledge, AI and Model Gateways, agent orchestration, memory, APIs, MCP, tools and enterprise integrations.
• Define reference architectures, Non-Functional Requirements (NFR), Architecture Decision Records (ADR) and reusable delivery patterns.
• Guide initiatives through ideation, proof-of-concept (POC), pilot and scaling readiness gates, including architecture, security, governance and operational reviews.
• Embed Responsible AI, privacy, human oversight, agent identity, least privilege, runtime guardrails and auditability into solution designs.
• Define CI/CD, testing, evals, observability, resilience, support and continuous improvement.
• Optimize quality, performance and cost through model selection (token economics), routing, token tracking, quotas and usage monitoring.
• Guide implementation teams, review solution conformance and communicate architectural trade-offs to technical and senior stakeholders.
• Define integration solutions in a complex DHL application environment to deliver Business requirements.

Competencies

• Proven experience designing enterprise AI, ML, Generative AI or Agentic AI solutions from concept to production.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt and context engineering, agents, multi-agent patterns and MCP.
• Understanding of cloud, containers, APIs, microservices, event-driven integration, Python, data pipelines and SQL or NoSQL technologies.
• Experience with AI gateways, orchestration frameworks, LLMOps, CI/CD and automated testing.

Security, governance and operations

• Knowledge of Responsible AI, data privacy/residency, model risk, threat controls, human-in-the-loop design and regulatory compliance.
• Understanding of agent and workload identity, OAuth/OIDC, SSO, service principals, delegated access and zero-trust authorization.
• Experience defining AI evaluation, observability, logging, tracing, monitoring, audit trails and cost controls.
• Ability to design for scalability, latency, resilience, isolation, data residency, disaster recovery and operational support.

Architecture leadership

• Ability to translate business outcomes into clear target architectures, roadmaps and pragmatic technology choices.
• Strong architecture documentation, diagramming, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Collaborative, self-starting and able to work across different divisions including Business, Business IT, Enterprise Architecture (EA), IT Services (ITS) and InfoSec.
• Ability to balance innovation, delivery speed, risk, operability and total cost of ownership.
