Job summary

Hong Leong Assurance is seeking an Agency Development Manager based in Klang to lead and develop the life agency business across the branch and nearby towns. You will recruit, train and motivate the agency force, design sales promos, and drive growth through multiple channels while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with operations, support ongoing life operations, and explore new areas via networking, roadshows, and promotions to attract top agency leaders.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the life insurance industry.
• Proficiency in life underwriting and familiarity with regulatory issues.
• Solid foundation in financial planning.
• Proven people management, training, and public speaking skills.
• Background in teaching/lecturing is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist, maintain and develop life agency businesses of the branch and its surrounding towns in line with targets and strategies.
• Plan recruitment, training and development of the life division agency force.
• Design and implement training, sales and promotional activities to motivate the agency force and boost sales.
• Develop and sustain business networking to grow the business via multiple sales channels.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements at all times.

Agency Development Manager (based in Klang)

To assist, maintain and develop life agency businesses of the branch and its surrounding towns in accordance with the preset business targets and business strategies.

To plan for the recruitment, training and development of the life division agency force of the branch and its surrounding towns.

To design and implement various training, sales and promotional activities to motivate the agency force and boost the sales of the branch and its surrounding towns.

To develop and sustain the business networking as a continuous business strategy to grow the business via multiple sales channels in the branch and its surrounding towns.

To assist the branch life operations and to ensure full compliance with company’s policies, procedures & regulatory requirements at all times.

To liaise closely with the Operations staff for all issues relating to life operations matters

To develop new area via business networking, roadshow, worksite marketing and company promotion to recruit & attract potential agencies.

To identify & recruit direct appointment of new leaders through agency and branch initiative

To assist & conduct relevant company & industry training such as RFP, product, and ASAS.

Job Requirements:

Strong understanding of the life insurance industry, including market insights, benefits, and exclusions

Proficiency in life underwriting and familiarity with legal and compliance issues in the life insurance sector

Solid foundation in financial planning

Proven people management, training, and public speaking skills

Background in teaching/lecturing is an added advantage
