Job summary

GE Aerospace Engine Services Malaysia (GEESM) in Subang invites applications for a Laboratory Technician responsible for completing mechanical and chemical testing to support production schedules and NPIs. You will ensure lab readiness, manage consumables, calibrate equipment, and collaborate with engineers on new testing capabilities for the NPI.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Sciences, Metallurgy or related science subjects.
• 2–3 years working experience in a lab environment; fresh graduates encouraged.
• Hands-on experience in chemical (titration) and mechanical (hardness, tensile, metallography) testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day lab testing related to chemical and mechanical tests.
• Support SPO and Engineer in developing new testing capabilities for the NPI.
• Ensure lab readiness to support daily test requirements and consumables.
• Verify calibrated equipment are within valid calibration, in good condition.
• Analyze lab test results for chemical and mechanical tests.
• Exercise some autonomy within defined procedures and consult seniors when needed.
• Understand business drivers and how team work integrates with others.
• Support cleaning/inspection engineering operations when testing volume is low.
