Job summary

GE Aerospace Engine Services Malaysia (GEESM) in Subang is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform chemical and mechanical testing to support production schedules. The role includes ensuring lab readiness and providing testing support when volumes are low.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Chemistry or related science, with 2–3 years lab experience, hands-on with titration, hardness, tensile tests, metallography, and microscopy. The job involves 3 shifts and SAP/Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Sciences, Metallurgy or related science.
• 2-3 years working experience in a lab environment; fresh graduates welcome to apply.
• Hands-on in lab processes: Chemical (Titration) and Mechanical (Hardness, Tensile, Metallography, microscopy).
• Available to work on 3 shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day lab testing for chemical and mechanical tests.
• Support SPO and Engineer on developing new testing capability for the NPI.
• Ensure lab readiness and availability of chemicals and consumables for day-to-day tests.
• Ensure calibrated equipment are within calibration period and functional.
• Analyze and evaluate lab test results (Chemical and Mechanical).
• May assist with cleaning/inspection engineering operations when testing volume is low.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
