Job summary

Liberty General Insurance Berhad is seeking an Actuarial Analyst within the LII APAC ADSS team to provide technical and administrative support across Pricing, Enablement, Regulatory analysis, and Data Science functions.

The role emphasizes analytical work, data handling, tool development, and collaboration with multi-functional teams to enhance ADSS capabilities and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel is required and data analysis skills are essential.
• Experience designing and delivering digital solutions (e.g., actuarial analysis/process improvements in Python) is desirable but not required.
• Foundational knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, insurance and markets.
• Good knowledge of insurance operations and ability to engage with multi-functional teams.
• Experience delivering work independently with a focus on enablement through efficient, high-quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Aid in preparation of analyses using mathematical and statistical skills and synthesize data for initiatives.
• Retrieve, understand and manipulate data; document methods and activities clearly.
• Provide actuarial technical assistance and information to other departments.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced actuarial staff.
• Assist in creation and maintenance of actuarial tools.
• Prepare more complex ADSS reports and studies.
• Present findings to peers and non-technical audiences with clear communication.
• Support efforts to build ADSS capabilities and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Actuarial peers to ensure consistency and best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned; take initiative in developing technical and soft skills.
