Job summary

Howden Insurance Brokers Limited in Malaysia seeks an Accounts Receivable Clerk to assist in processing incoming payments from clients, insurers, reinsurers and other parties, and to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to receipts or outstanding invoices.

The role also supports the month-end closing process, general ledger activities, reconciles AR balances, and provides reports and documentation as required to enhance the financial operations of the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• Experience in accounts payable or general ledger roles preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Create receipt entries and match them to invoices.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up for timely collections.
• Process receipts from clients and other parties with proper allocation.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve receipt or invoice discrepancies.
• Reconcile accounts receivable balances and maintain records.
• Support month-end closing and general ledger activities.
• Prepare aging reports and AR analysis for management.
• Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks as required.
