Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years experience in Accounts Payable in a high-volume environment.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience leading, coaching or mentoring team members.
• Good understanding of end-to-end Accounts Payable processes.
• Experience processing payment runs and supplier reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision and support to Accounts Payable team members in Australia and Malaysia (3-4 direct reports).
• Train and support new team members on AP processes and systems.
• Process a minimum quantity of supplier invoices regularly to stay up to date.
• Monitor KPIs for the team and provide coaching for improvement.
• Lead process and control improvements and implement changes.
• Review weekly payment proposals to ensure payments align with terms.
• Process weekly and monthly payment runs including intercompany and foreign currency payments.
• Monitor AP mailbox and assist with supplier and internal inquiries.
• Review supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Review corporate card reconciliations with accurate GL allocations.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to resolve pending invoices promptly.
• Assist with month-end activities and audits.
• Prepare reporting for AP Manager and Financial Controller.
• Ensure compliance with No PO No Pay policy.
