Job summary

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable: process invoices, staff claims and payments; reconcile balances.
• General Accounting: bookkeeping, journal entries, bank reconciliations, month-end/year-end closings.
• Financial Compliance & Control: adhere to standards, assist audits and maintain data confidentiality.
• Administrative & Ad-hoc: data entry, reporting, process improvements and supporting the Finance Manager.

About the Company:

An Australian-based accounting firm located in Kelana Jaya is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Accounts Executive to support their Melbourne operations and SME clients. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply!

• Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia
• Work Mode: Hybrid (1-day WFH)
• Remunerations: RM3,500 - RM4,500
• Working Hour:Mon - Fri: 7.30am - 4.30pm

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

• Process vendor invoices, staff claims, and payments in a timely manner
• Prepare customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
• Reconcile AP/AR balances and ensure accuracy of transactions
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records

General Accounting

• Assist in daily bookkeeping and journal entry postings
• Perform bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules

Financial Compliance & Control

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies
• Assist with audits by providing accurate and timely documentation
  Maintain confidentiality and data integrity in all financial matters

Administrative & Ad-Hoc Tasks

• Support the finance team on system updates, data entry, and reporting
• Assist in improving processes and internal controls
• Perform other duties as required by the Finance Manager

Requirements

• SPM/Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
