Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process, record and reconcile financial transactions.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Conduct regular reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements.
• Support accounts payable/receivable functions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash records.
• Ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Assist auditors during audits.

• Support period-end close activities with the finance team.

We are seeking an Accounts Executive to join Evergreen Max Cash Capital Berhad in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position offering a valuable opportunity to develop your financial accounting and reporting expertise within a dynamic financial services environment. As an Accounts Executive, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, supporting the broader accounting function, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This position is essential to our Finance team's ability to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

• Processing, recording and reconciling financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and company policies
• Preparing and maintaining general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all entries
• Conducting regular account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
• Supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment administration
• Performing bank reconciliations and managing cash transaction records
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls, financial procedures and regulatory requirements
• Providing support to auditors during internal and external audit processes
• Maintaining accurate financial documentation and records in both physical and digital formats
• Collaborating with other finance team members to support period-end close activities

What we’re looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Proven experience in financial accounting, accounts payable/receivable or a similar accounting role
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, general ledger processes and financial reporting standards
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and rectify errors in financial records
• Well-developed organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance requirements relevant to financial services
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information with integrity
• Willingness to develop professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIPFA or similar accounting credentials (preferred but not essential)
