Job summary

Glory Global Solutions (M) in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Operations professional to oversee AP, AR, GL, and monthly/quarterly reporting in compliance with Malaysian tax rules. The role requires IFRS knowledge, strong Excel skills, and experience with an ERP system, with at least 5 years in finance.

You will support the Finance Manager on projects and ensure accurate monthly statements, balance sheets, and audits, while maintaining strong internal controls and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable processes: supplier setup, invoicing and payments.
• Manage Accounts Receivable processes: customer setup, invoicing, AR follow-up and receipts.
• Coordinate billing with other departments to raise invoices.
• Perform monthly close, GL activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and tax reports (GST/Corporate Tax).
• Assist with audits and liaise with auditors to resolve issues.
• Support the Finance Manager on projects and additional tasks as needed.

ROLE PURPOSE

Responsible for the finance operations such as AP, AR, GL, reporting and other activities related to the finance operation in finance department.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Payable process – supplier set up, invoice and payments.

Accounts Receivable process – customer set up, billing, AR follow up and receipts.

Billing function – coordinate with other departments to raise invoice to customer.

Collection follow up.

General Ledger and Month end close activities.

Monthly and quarterly reportings.

Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Prepare of tax reports (GST/Corporate Tax) and submissions in accordance with Malaysian Tax regulations

Ensure compliance with internal control systems and statutory financial regulations.

Assist with audit and preparation of the local statutory accounts.

Prepare information for and liaise with the auditors to ensure any issues are fully resolved in a timely manner.

Prepare the monthly financial statements including monthly journal entries such as prepayments, stock provisions and accruals ensuring accuracy

Support Finance Manager with projects and tasks when required.

Support some office administrative tasks.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in accounting or a professional qualification eg ACCA.

Strong computer literacy and competent in MS Office, especially MS Excel and ERP system.

Experience

Possess at least 5 years working experience in a Finance environment and/or relevant experience in a similar capacity.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Familiar with IFRS and tax rules in Malaysia.
