Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an entry-level accounting assistant to support daily bookkeeping, data entry, and reconciliations. You will handle accounts payable/receivable, maintain ledgers, and assist with month-end close while using Excel and accounting software.

You will communicate in English and Mandarin with internal teams and vendors, supporting a professional accounting environment and ongoing skill development.

Qualifications

• Assist in daily bookkeeping tasks and maintain ledgers.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable with timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Perform data entry for financial information into accounting software and spreadsheets.
• Assist with bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of records.
• Utilize Excel for data analysis, reporting, and maintaining financial records.
• Support the accounting team with filing, document organization, and inquiries.
• Gain exposure to various accounting software and ensure data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily bookkeeping tasks and post journal entries.
• Process payables/receivables and ensure timely processing.
• Enter financial data accurately into systems and spreadsheets.
• Assist with reconciliations to identify discrepancies.
• Prepare basic financial reports as needed by management.
• Maintain organized financial records and filing systems.
• Support ad-hoc accounting projects and admin tasks.
