Job summary

SPD Scientific (M) Sdn Bhd, a Lives Group entity, is seeking an Accounts Assistant in Malaysia. You will manage accounts payable, vendor invoices, payments, and related documentation within the shared services framework.

Responsibilities include bank reconciliations, intercompany billings, AP reporting, and general ledger support for month-end closing. Administrative tasks and ad-hoc duties by the Accountant or HOD are also expected.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, credit notes, and maintain proper Accounts Payable (AP) documentation within the shared services framework.
• Prepare regular and urgent vendor payments, ensuring timely and accurate payment to suppliers and vendors.
• Coordinate with Operations to obtain necessary supporting documents (e.g., GRN, permits, approvals).
• Update daily bank transactions and perform bank reconciliations as part of centralized finance operations.
• Process staff claims and manage petty cash disbursements and replenishments.
• Prepare intercompany billings. Perform key accounting duties (e.g., journal preparation, general ledger reconciliation) to support the monthly and period-end closing activities.
• Assist in AP-related reporting and other finance reporting requirements when needed.
• Handle administrative duties such as document filing, printing, and record maintenance.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Accountant or HOD.
