Job summary

Yoong Mei Trading & Transport in Malaysia seeks a detail-oriented accounts assistant to manage day-to-day financial entries and client invoicing. The role covers AP/AR processing, DO/POD checks, and ensuring timely payments with accurate documentation.

The candidate will maintain files, perform bank reconciliations, and support daily financial operations in a fast-paced transport environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting entries, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Prepare and issue customer invoices, debit notes, credit notes and statements of account.
• Check transport orders, delivery orders (DO), PODs and supporting documents before invoicing.
• Follow up with customers on outstanding payments and overdue accounts.
• Record supplier invoices and arrange payments according to approved payment schedules.
• Perform bank reconciliation and update daily receipts/payments.
• Maintain proper filing of invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and accounting documents.
