Job summary

Shopper360 Limited is seeking a senior finance professional to lead the accounting function and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The role includes consolidation for multiple companies, tax planning, and partnership with listing sponsors, auditors, and regulators.

You will drive process improvements, enhance management reporting, and mentor the finance team to support strategic planning and budgeting cycles.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree in business/commerce with accounting major.
• CA/ACCA or equivalent qualification is required.
• Experience in a publicly listed company or Big 4 firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overall control of the company’s accounting function.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Maintain accounting controls by implementing policies and procedures across the group.
• Consolidation for 11 active and 2 dormant companies; prepare monthly consolidated accounts.
• Listed entity reporting including annual/sustainability/XBRL filings.
• Coordinate annual report and timely regulatory submissions.

Job description

• Overall control of the company’s accounting function.
• Ensure compliance with the relevant accounting standard.
• Maintains accounting controls by implementing policies and procedures across the group.

2) Tax

• Overall responsible for company’s tax function covering direct, indirect and withholding taxes.
• Ensure adequate provision of income tax and deferred taxation.
• Ensure tax filings are completed and filed in compliance to Inland Revenue requirements.
• Advise senior management on ways to improve tax efficiency and planning.
• Prepare monthly consolidated accounts in accordance to the relevant accounting standard.
• Coordinate and ensure timely completion of annual report.
• Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met regarding all the company’s financial affairs
• Ensure timely and accuracy of subsidiaries and associate financial reports.
• Maintain the full set of account for listed holding company.
• Consolidation for 11 active companies and 2 dormant companies

4) Listed Entity Requirements

• Works closely with the company’s listing sponsors, auditors and tax agent to ensure all listing requirements are adhered to such as annual report, sustainability reporting, SGX filings.
• Ensure timely report for half and full year announcement.

5) Process improvement

• Review processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of controls.
• Train finance team members on updated accounting and tax issues to upskill team.
• Utilize excel skills to improve efficiency of business modelling
• Participate in implementation and improvement of management reporting systems

6)Finance Business Partnering Role

• To support the delivery of the annual planning and budgeting cycles including 3 years planning
• To prepare analysis and commentary of the business performance against budget
• Any other tasks as assigned by the line manager

Requirements:

• Degree in business/commerce with accounting major.
• Chartered Accountant of a recognized accountancy professional body or holder of an equivalent qualification.
• Assistant Manager or Senior Associate in big 5 accounting firm.
• Similar role in publicly listed company.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Familiar with major accounting software such as SAP, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics.
• Expert level competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
• Possess good interpersonal and leadership skills with firm, decisive and mature personality.
• High integrity, self-motivated, performance driven and a team player.
• Able to lead a team towards proper execution of strategies and plans in realizing organizational objectives.
