Forvis Mazars Asia Pacific Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive accounting professional to lead the Outsourcing Team in Kuala Lumpur, focusing on delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services to a diverse, international client portfolio. The role emphasizes technical accounting, client service, and collaboration across teams.

The successful candidate will coach junior staff, ensure compliance with standards, and prepare financial statements under Singapore FRS and other GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accountancy or part qualified ACCA/CPA Australia/ICAEW.
• Experience in professional medium/large audit practice and/or large multi-national experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting software (Xero, SAP, Netsuite, Oracle, QuickBooks) is an advantage.
• Friendly and approachable team player with good communication, interpersonal and client servicing skills.
• Meticulous with good organizational skills and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coach and supervise the work of Assistants, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.
• Review and analyse monthly management accounts and supporting schedules for accuracy.
• Review GST returns for timely and accurate submission.
• Collaborate with internal and international teams to meet client needs.
• Support the technical and soft skills development of Assistants through on-the-job training.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and other international GAAP.
• Act as a key contact in client relationships and ensure a seamless client experience.
• Liaise with clients’ auditors and tax agents for smooth exchange of information.
• Support process improvement to enhance efficiency and quality of deliverables.
• Establish strong client relationships through proactive interactions with the client’s team.
• Assist with other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
