Job summary

Forvis Mazars Asia Pacific Services Sdn Bhd (FMAPS) is seeking a self-driven accounting professional to join the Kuala Lumpur Outsourcing Team. The role focuses on accounting, XBRL conversion and Treasury support for international clients, based permanently in Malaysia.

The candidate will coach associates, review vendor payments, and prepare financial statements under SFRS, coordinating with auditors and tax agents while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting or equivalent
• Part-qualified ACCA/CPA Australia/ICAEW encouraged
• Experience in audit practice and/or large multisite groups beneficial
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software

Responsibilities

• Coach and supervise associates.
• Review vendor payment proposals on e-Banking platforms for multiple clients.
• Review and analyse annual management accounts and schedules.
• Prepare financial statements under SFRS and other GAAP.
• Coordinate XBRL conversion requests with stakeholders.
• Review XBRL conversion files for multiple clients.
• Serve as main contact in client relationships.
• Liaise with auditors and tax agents to facilitate information exchange.

We are a leading professional services firm specializing in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services to international businesses.

We are seeking a self-driven and highly motivated individual with a solid technical background and a passion for delivering exceptional client service to work with our Outsourcing Team in Forvis Mazars in Singapore. This position will be permanently based in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to build expertise in accounting, XBRL conversion and the Treasury function, while being part of a dynamic team that delivers comprehensive accounting and advisory support to a diverse portfolio of international clients

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Coach and supervise the work of Associates.
• Review vendor payment proposals on e-Banking platforms accurately and promptly for multiple clients.
• Review and analyse annual management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Prepare financial statements under SFRS and other international GAAP.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders for XBRL conversion requests.
• Review XBRL conversion files for multiple clients.
• Serve as a main point of contact in client relationships.
• Liaise with clients’ auditors and tax agents to facilitate information exchange.
• Assist the management team with ideas to improve work processes and services.
• Collaborate with other Forvis Mazars teams, both domestic and international, to address client needs.
• Participate in additional ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or part qualified ACCA/CPA Australia/ICAEW.
• Professional medium/large audit practice experience and/or large multinational experience.
• Well versed in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting software (XERO, SAP, Netsuite, Oracle, Xero, Quickbooks) is an advantage.
• Friendly and approachable team player with good communication, interpersonal and client servicing skills.
• Meticulous and have attention to detail with good organizational skills.
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Good command of the English language.
• Proficient with the use of collaboration tools, i.e. MS Teams etc.
