Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting operations, including data entry for AP/AR and the general ledger. A Diploma or Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance or related field with 1–2 years of experience is required.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, combined with Mandarin communication and strong organizational skills, are essential. Immediate or short-notice start is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (also accepts advanced diplomas).
• 1–2 years of working experience in accounting/administrative roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Good Mandarin communication and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily accounting operations including data entry for AP, AR, and G/L.
• Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, official receipts, and debit/credit notes.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow and collections.
• Maintain filing and record-keeping for financial and administrative documents.
• Support monthly closing activities and update ageing reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and customers on payments and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and basic statutory requirements.
