Job summary

Plexus is seeking an Accountant I in Penang to support accurate inventory valuation and financial reporting. You will handle bookkeeping tasks across AR/AP/GL and assist in preparing financial statements, while ensuring SOX compliant reconciliations and timely journal entries.

The role emphasizes accuracy, data entry, and collaboration within a finance team. Bachelor’s in Accounting and 0–2 years experience are preferred, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 0–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Strong mathematical ability and attention to detail are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Excel; JDE and FAS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete financial transactions (AR/AP/GL/Fixed Assets/Interco/Address Book/Banking etc.) timely and accurately according to accounting processes and procedures.
• Respond and resolve operational issues; ensure stakeholders’ requirements are met.
• Analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy and identify unusual items.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts to comply with SOX requirements.
• Prepare weekly and month end journal entries to ensure accurate account balances.
• Work on special continuous improvement projects to resolve problems or improve productivity.
