Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a finance professional with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA/CPA qualifications are an added advantage, and several years’ experience in full-set accounting, financial reporting, audit, tax, and compliance are required.

You will manage month-end close processes, coordinate audits, and oversee internal controls across finance operations. Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with external auditors and regulators,

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent advantageous.
• Experience in finance/accounting roles with full set accounting, financial reporting, audit, tax, compliance, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Managed finance operations: reviewing payments, receipts, journal entries, bank reconciliations, monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing, maintain records, perform variance analysis and identify unusual transactions.
• Monitor budgets and fund utilisation, manage restricted/unrestricted funds, allocate expenses and ensure funding compliance.
• Coordinate audit, tax, and statutory compliance with external auditors, tax agents, regulators, and service providers.
• Strengthen internal controls and governance; update SOPs and improve compliance processes.
• Lead finance process improvements via automation and digitalisation to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.

• Managed grant and fund tracking activities, ensuring proper utilisation of restricted and unrestricted funds, accurate expense allocation, and compliance with funding requirements.

• Coordinated audit, tax, and statutory compliance matters by liaising with external auditors, tax agents, regulators, and outsourced accounting service providers.

• Strengthened internal controls and governance by reviewing payment approvals, maintaining finance SOPs, monitoring regulatory requirements, and improving compliance processes.

• Led finance process improvements through automation, digitalisation initiatives, system enhancements, and workflow optimisation to improve efficiency and reporting quality.
