SBM Offshore N.V. is seeking an Accountant to manage accounting topics for local and international entities under IFRS and local GAAP. You will handle tax and treasury with a focus on internal controls and process improvements.

Responsibilities include monthly closings, preparing financial statements, reviewing partner packs, and supporting audit activities while liaising with Tax and Accounting leads to ensure accurate reporting across the group.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting or auditing environment.
• Proficiency with IFRS standards and statutory requirements.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 37.
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ERP experience.

Responsabilidades

• P2P support, vendor management.
• Prepare monthly closing and financial packages.
• Produce financial statements and liaise with auditors.
• Support tax and statutory reporting.
• Assist internal controls and process improvements.

About Us:

Purpose

• In the role of Accountant you will be responsible fo accounting related topics for the local and/or international entities
• (under IFRS and local GAAP) with a substantial involvement in tax and treasury.

Responsibilities

• Daily tasks/ responsibilities.
• Ensure Group accounting policies are applies
• Ensuring internal control procedures are applied (IcoFr framework);
• Participate to the efficieny and continuoius improvement of processes and tools;
• Monthly tasks/ responsibilities
• Perform monthly closing tasks
• Provide monthly package to our partners when applicable
• Review monthly package received from our partners when applicable
• Quarterly tasks/ responsibilities.
• Analyze Balance sheet at consolidation level, IFRS and Directional reporting
• Participation in the contract analysis, and all related legal documents (Shareholders Agreement, service agreement and …)
• Provide audit package and liaise with external auditors.
• Ad hoc requests from Accounting Lead/Manager.
• Prepare Tax package for Group in cooperation with Tax Manager
• Liaise with partners to obtain accurate data when applicable.
• Participation in the Tax reporting.
• Prepare financial statements for Sentities under your scope including audit and filing.
• Support partners with their financial statements.
• Ad hoc audit missions if needed

Education

• Business School or financial & accounting related degree

Experience

• Experience (functions, duration): Minimum 2 yearsâ experience in a related environment or an audit firm
• IT tools (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Power point), ERP
• Internal control
• Knowledge IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition, IFRS 16 Leases and IAS 37 provision, contingent Liabilities and Assets and others
• Statutory accounting and tax requirements in an international Environment
