Job summary

Leader Energy Group is seeking an Account Executive/Senior Executive in Penang, Malaysia. The role covers daily accounting operations, month-end closing for the group, and involvement in audits, tax and corporate secretarial matters.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, analyze variances against budget and prior year, and assist in budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and internal control improvements. Strong English communication and meticulous work are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 2–3 years accounting experience.
• Audit knowledge is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCount.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Self-motivated, responsible and accurate.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with stakeholders.
• Willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and ensure proper recording of transactions.
• Handle daily accounting operations: billing, collection, claim checks, payments, fund transfers, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly management reports and analyse variances.
• Perform operational finance functions.
• Prepare annual budget and assist in budget control.
• Perform cashflow forecast and monitoring.
• Assist in audit, tax, company secretary and banking matters.
• Review processes and propose efficiency improvements to HOD.
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments and admin tasks if required.
