This full-time role offers hands-on experience with audit procedures and the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in a dynamic accounting environment, with mentoring and CPD opportunities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Candidate pursuing ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and audit procedures.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software; able to learn audit-specific tools quickly.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in conducting external audits for client organisations across industries.
• Perform audit procedures including testing of transactions and account balances.
• Prepare and maintain audit working papers and ensure standards compliance.
• Assist in preparation of audit reports and financial statement analysis.

About the role

K.G. Yeo & Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Account/Audit Assistant to join our External Audit team. This is a full-time position based at our office in UEP Subang Jaya, Selangor. As an Account/Audit Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our audit engagements and contributing to the delivery of high-quality audit services to our diverse client base. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your audit expertise whilst working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic accounting environment.

What you’ll be doing

Assist in conducting external audits for client organisations across various industries

Perform audit procedures including testing of transactions, account balances and supporting documentation

Prepare and maintain audit working papers and ensure compliance with audit standards and firm policies

Assist in the preparation of audit reports and financial statement analysis

Conduct preliminary analytical reviews and identify any unusual transactions or discrepancies

Support the verification of financial records, reconciliations and balance sheet items

Liaise with clients to obtain necessary information and documentation for audit procedures

Assist in the development and execution of audit programmes for assigned engagements

Maintain accurate time records and provide regular updates on audit progress to senior team members

What we’re looking for

A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or currently studying towards a professional accounting qualification (such as ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and audit procedures

Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, with the ability to quickly master audit-specific tools and systems

Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues

Strong organisational and time management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple audit assignments

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction from senior auditors

Proactive approach to learning and professional development in the audit field

Previous experience in audit, accounting or a related field would be advantageous
