Job summary

Bina Jaya Ventures is seeking an experienced Head of Academic (Tuition Units) to lead academic direction, operational excellence and strategic growth across all branches. You will drive high-quality learning experiences, develop teaching talent and push for outstanding student achievement.

The role requires a visionary leader with a track record in education management, curriculum development, and quality assurance, all while partnering with stakeholders to grow the tuition programme nationally.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in education with 3 years in leadership/management.
• Experience as Head of Academic/Director/Principal or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience overseeing multiple education centres or units.
• Track record of improving teaching quality and performance.
• Experience with academic excellence initiatives, staff development and strategic growth.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people-management skills.
• Excellent strategic planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of curriculum development, assessment practices and QA systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Provide overall academic leadership and strategic direction for tuition across all branches.
• Develop and implement academic policies, curriculum plans, assessment standards and QA systems.
• Lead curriculum enhancement, programme innovation and ongoing academic improvement.
• Promote ICT and educational technology integration in teaching and learning.
• Monitor branch performance, student outcomes and academic KPIs; drive improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, operational and quality requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop academic staff across branches.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, safe and high-performing learning culture.
• Strengthen leadership within branch teams and support talent development and succession planning.
• Partner with Marketing to support recruitment, retention and brand positioning.
• Identify opportunities for new programmes and strategic collaborations.
• Lead governance and quality assurance activities, audits and reports.
