Job summary

Virtuos Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dynamic Creative Director to lead a team through the full development cycle from concept to release. The role drives expansion of creative capabilities for ambitious, large-scale projects and requires a proven track record as a creative director on successful AAA titles.

You will provide leadership to the Game Design team, shape the creative vision, and collaborate with sister studios and clients/publishers to deliver high-quality final products.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in game design, with a track record of delivering AAA titles.
• Strong understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and player psychology.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across disciplines.
• Fluent in English, with comfort on video calls.

Responsibilities

• Pitching: identify pitching opportunities and create materials to communicate game vision to clients/publishers.
• Creative Leadership: lead the Game Design team and align vision with project goals.
• Design Strategy: develop strategies to elevate gameplay and player experience.
• Team Management: build and mentor a high-performing design team and plan hiring.
• Project Oversight: set goals and milestones; ensure delivery within scope and budget.
• Innovation and Industry Trends: stay updated on trends and encourage experimentation.
