Job summary

KLK Hardwood Floor Sdn Bhd (KLKHF) Ipoh, Perak, seeks an electrical maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, read diagrams, and ensure safety compliance. You will diagnose faults, replace components, and install control systems in our manufacturing environment.

The role requires a minimum certificate in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, a valid Chargeman A1/A0, and at least two years of related experience, with knowledge of three-phase

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
• Possess a valid Chargeman A1/A0 certificate issued by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) in Malaysia.
• Minimum two (2) years related working experience.
• Knowledge of three-phase electrical processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on electrical systems and equipment.
• Perform corrective maintenance and repairs on electrical installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Replace defective components or parts using hand tools and precision instruments.
• Set up and operate test equipment to diagnose, test, or analyze electronics.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, or engineering instructions for assembling electrical units.

Job description

Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on electrical systems and equipment, including switchboards and wiring.

Perform corrective maintenance and repairs on electrical installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Replace defective components or parts, using hand tools and precision instruments.

Set up and operate specialized or standard test equipment to diagnose, test, or analyze the performance of electronic components, assemblies, or systems.

Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electrical units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.

Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions

Assemble electrical systems or prototypes, using hand tools or measuring instruments.

Review electrical engineering plans to ensure adherence to design specifications and compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards.

Assemble, test, or maintain circuitry or electronic components, according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, or knowledge of electrical , using hand or power tools.

Review existing electrical engineering criteria to identify necessary revisions, deletions, or amendments to outdated material.

Maintain system logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment.

Select electrical equipment, components, or systems to meet functional specifications.

Participate in training or continuing education activities to stay abreast of engineering or industry advances.

Install or maintain electrical control systems, industrial automation systems, or electrical equipment, including control circuits, variable speed drives, or programmable logic controllers.

Job Success Requirements

Install instrumentation or electronic equipment or systems.

Confer with other personnel to resolve design or operational problems

Minimum Certificate in the Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
