Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Minde Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (PLC) to analyze manufacturing processes and implement PLC-based automation. You will design and program PLC systems, including HMIs and SCADA, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into production.

The role requires a degree in manufacturing or related field and 3–5 years in injection molding process engineering within high-volume environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and improve manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and cut costs.
• Design, program, and maintain PLC-controlled systems including HMIs and SCADA.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process teams to implement automation in production.
• Prepare documentation such as design specs, wiring diagrams, and SOPs.
• Lead commissioning, testing, and on-site troubleshooting of automated equipment.
• Train production and maintenance staff on automation technologies.
• Support Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM initiatives to improve throughput and reduce downtime.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.

Job Description

• Analyse and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.
• Design, program, and maintain PLC-controlled systems, including HMIs, SCADA, sensors, and actuators.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams to integrate automation solutions into production.
• Prepare documentation, including functional design specifications, wiring diagrams, schematics, and SOP
• Lead commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of automated equipment (FAT, SAT, and on-site).
• Train production and maintenance staff on automated systems and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM to optimise throughput and reduce downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.

Requirements

• MinimunBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
