Job summary

A global logistics company in Penang is seeking a candidate to manage transport operations. Responsibilities include overseeing the POD transmission process, handling shipping documents, and communicating effectively with stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have at least a diploma in Supply Chain, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in transport operations. Strong communication skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision are essential. This role may require rotational shifts.

Qualifications

  • Diploma and above in Supply Chain, Transportation and related disciplines.
  • 2+ years of experience in Transport operations environment.
  • Experience in 4PL/LLP environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Proof of Delivery (POD) transmission from carriers to client system.
  • Lead planning for unique customer delivery requests.
  • Capture shipping documents into SPT system.
  • Perform customer invoice swapping and price masking.
  • Obtain import/export licenses and manage compliance.
  • Plan uplift capacity and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Proof of Delivery (POD) transmission from carriers’ system to client system, follow up with carrier until closure, escalate and work with client system owner if any issue encountered to ensure all PODs are timely recognized.
  • Will lead executions and planning for unique customer delivery request as needed. This includes tracking delivery as well as communicate timely on progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage all incoming shipping documents information by capturing key information into SPT system and scan image related to customs shipping documents.
  • Perform customer invoice swapping and price masking according to customer's requirements.
  • Support to obtain import/export licenses as needed and follow compliance requirement to record and manage shipments.
  • Manage and plan uplift capacity, stakeholders’ communication and carry out flawless execution in order to maximize customer’s revenues and prevent customer’s production impact.
  • Provide recommendations to the shipment requestor on the best service level while taking into consideration the shipper needs.
Requirements
  • Diploma and above in Supply Chain, Transportation and related disciplines with at least 2 years of working experiences in Transport operations environment.
  • Advantage to have experiences and exposure in 4PL/LLP environment.
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts, including midnight shift.
  • Good communications in verbal and written.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision.
