Job summary

JLL seeks a Network Operation Centre (NOC) Shift Engineer in Malaysia, Johor, to monitor critical facility systems (power including generators, cooling, and fire suppression) and ensure uptime of data centre services. You will perform eyes on glass for alarms and coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain service availability.

You will analyze alarms, review logs, manage incidents, and participate in change management.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in IT/CS required.
Minimum 3 years NOC or data centre experience.
Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Proficient in root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
Familiar with ITIL and network monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage critical facility systems (power including generators, cooling, and fire suppression).
Ensure uptime and availability of facility services.
Conduct eyes on glass for alarms.
Analyze alarms and propose reductions.
Monitor network performance, logs, and respond to alerts.
Handle and manage network incidents; escalate as needed.
Maintain network documentation and diagrams.
Participate in change management with minimal disruption.
Collaborate with IT teams and vendors; communicate updates.
Maintain SOPs and incident reports.
Ensure smooth shift handovers.
Stay updated with network technologies; pursue training.
