Caterpillar Inc. in Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon, Mexico seeks a Welding Process Leader to drive process improvements across the plant area, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality production that aligns with PQVC standards.

You will oversee the welding value stream, with Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians reporting to you, while guiding continuous improvement efforts. The role requires a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering background with advanced English, experience in Lean/6 Sigma

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field with advanced English.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred for top candidates.
• Master's degree related to Manufacturing or Administration is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and optimize welding processes across the assigned plant area to meet manufacturing requirements.
• Develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and manpower to achieve cost, quality, and inventory targets.
• Monitor delivery performance, lead-time improvements, and quality projects to enhance value and results.
• Establish cost and quality goals and integrate factory, logistics, maintenance and quality to achieve targets.
• Supervise activities in the area to ensure efficient use of personnel and machinery.
• Promote 5S, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, and internal certification initiatives.
• Develop people through education, involvement, increased responsibility and ergonomics.
• Train new supervisors on manufacturing quality and set team goals accordingly.
