The Big Jobsite is seeking a hands-on Web Developer to build new sites and maintain existing ones, with knowledge of digital marketing and strong organizational discipline. You will own the full lifecycle of our web properties from development to ongoing optimization, with clear communication and reliable delivery.

You will work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, Elementor, and GHL, ensuring performance, SEO, security, and integrations across projects.

Formación

• Proven experience building sites from scratch, not just maintenance.
• Real command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript beyond a page builder.
• A portfolio of live WordPress projects, ideally on WP Engine hosting.
• Strong written English and Spanish for team and client coordination.

Responsabilidades

• Build new websites from scratch and maintain existing ones on WordPress hosted on WP Engine.
• Develop beyond the builder using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Manage Go High Level for site building, funnels, and integrations.
• Handle performance, SEO, security, and core web vitals improvements on every build.
• Troubleshoot plugins/themes, test across browsers, and connect sites via APIs or Zapier/Make.
• Use Git for versioned deployments and collaborate with teams.

We're looking for a hands-on web developer to build new sites and maintain our existing ones, with working knowledge of digital marketing and strong organizational discipline. This role owns the full lifecycle of our web properties, from development to ongoing optimization, with clear communication and reliable delivery.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES (80% OF WORKLOAD)

• Site build & maintenance: Build new websites from scratch and maintain existing ones on WordPress hosted on WP Engine.
• Development stack: Elementor for page building, plus hand-coded PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for custom development beyond the builder.
• Go High Level (GHL): Manage Go High Level for site building, funnels, and integrations.
• Performance & SEO: Page speed, image optimization, caching, and Core Web Vitals; on-page SEO (meta tags, headings, sitemaps, redirects) on every build.
• Security: SSL, plugin/core updates, backups, and basic WordPress hardening.
• QA, debugging & integrations: Troubleshoot plugin conflicts and theme issues; test across browsers and screen sizes; connect sites to CRMs and tools via APIs or Zapier/Make.
• Version control: Use Git for controlled, versioned deployments.
• Marketing basics: Enough marketing fluency to understand a site's structure and business goals.

PROJECT TOOLS

• Asana, ClickUp, Jira, or similar for task management, plus mandatory time tracking (Toggl or Asana's built-in tracker).

• Communication & detail: Keeps tasks updated, responds to reminders, and flags progress ahead of deadlines.
• Discipline & commitment: Delivers on time without leaving work until the last minute; works with active time tracking and full exclusivity.
