Poco Bero is seeking a hands-on website designer/developer to own pocobero.com end to end. You’ll move in-house from external agencies and shape design, build, test and ship changes quickly with the team.

You’ll own Shopify theme development, implement Liquid templates, ensure performance on mobile, track conversions with analytics, and collaborate with marketing and a designer to keep the brand consistent.

THE POCO BERO WAY

We ship real pizza dough to home cooks who refuse to settle for sad pizza. Every dough is tied to where it comes from: New York, and Naples

THE ROLE

You’ll own pocobero.com end to end. Today we lean on outside agencies for site design and development. Your job is to bring that in-house: design, build, test and ship changes yourself, fast. You’ll be our only website designer and developer, working inside a small team alongside marketing and our graphic designer, and reporting to the COO.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Own our Shopify theme: build and maintain pages, sections and templates in Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Ship our next product pages first, including pack-size selectors and a New York vs. Naples origin selector for our new Italy dough.
• Build landing pages for paid ads and launches, usually within days of the brief.
• Run A/B tests on product pages, cart and checkout, and report what moved conversion.
• Keep the site fast and solid on mobile, where most of our customers shop.
• Keep tracking right: Meta and TikTok pixels, GA4 and Klaviyo events.
• Turn our designer’s mockups into live pages that match the brand.
• Fix what breaks, quickly, and write down how things work so we’re never stuck again.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, optimizing and testing websites, with live sites you can show us and results you can point to. Shopify experience strongly preferred.
• Strong Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You’re comfortable in Shopify Online Store 2.0 themes and the Shopify CLI.
• A good eye for design. You can take a Figma file to a pixel-right page, and make sensible calls when there’s no mockup.
• Mobile-first habits and a working knowledge of page speed and accessibility.
• You’ve run A/B tests and conversion work yourself, and you test every change before it goes live. You use version control (Git).
• You ship. Eighty percent live this week beats perfect next month.
• You say it straight: clear on timelines, quick to flag a problem, and you own your part when something breaks.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with DTC food, CPG or subscription brands.
• Hands‑on with Loop Subscriptions, Klaviyo, Gorgias or review apps.
• Conversion rate optimization and A/B testing tools.
• Headless Shopify (Hydrogen) or custom Shopify app development.
• You use AI tools like Claude daily to build faster.
