Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Credit Underwriter to join the Institutional Credit Management team. You will own underwriting and portfolio monitoring for APAC Real Money Funds clients, working with traders and risk approvers to shape credit decisions on complex capital markets exposures.

In this VP-level role, you will review memos, manage the underwriting cycle, and collaborate with Front Office, Markets, and Risk across geographies.

Qualifications

• Six to ten years of credit risk or credit-related experience in banking.
• Ability to assess complex capital markets exposures (derivatives, FI, FX, securities).
• Senior credit approval experience for large, multi-product underwritings.
• Engage confidently with regulators, Internal Audit and risk teams.
• Sound judgement in high-pressure environments with tight timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent university qualification.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end credit underwriting for a portfolio of APAC Real Money Funds clients.
• Author and approve Credit Approval Memos from origination to approval forums.
• Monitor portfolio health with annual/quarterly reviews and stress tests.
• Review financial analysis, projections, risk ratings, and due diligence.
• Partner with Front Office and Markets to structure new transactions.
• Engage regulators and internal control functions for standards compliance.
• Build relationships with Banking, Risk and product partners across geographies.
