Life is seeking a creative and highly organized part-time Video Editor & Social Media Content Repurposer to grow our educational channel focused on wildlife coexistence. You will edit and repurpose a large video library into short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, while maintaining established style and messaging.

This role includes virtual assistance tasks, schedule Mon–Fri, 9:00–17:30 PT, with a strong emphasis on video editing (about 90%).

Job Overview: We are looking for a creative and highly organized part-time Video Editor & Social Media Content Repurposerto help grow and expand the social media prLife, an educational platform focused on coexistence and thriving alongside bears and other wildlife. The ideal candidate is first and foremost a skilled video editor with experience creating short-form social media content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. The role will primarily focus on editing and repurposing an extensive existing video library into engaging, polished content that aligns with the established style and messaging of the account. Beyond video editing, the successful candidate will also provide general virtual assistance, including supporting media inquiries, collaborations, merchandise research, and other projects as needed. Approximately 90% of the role will be focused on video editing and content creation.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm (US Pacific Time)

Key Responsibilities

• Video Library Organization & Management
  • Organize and maintain the existing video library stored in Dropbox.
  • Review, categorize, label, and organize a substantial volume of existing video footage for efficient future use.
  • Develop a logical and consistent file organization system for video assets.
  • Identify footage that can be repurposed for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Maintain organized records of edited, scheduled, approved, and published content.
• Video Editing & Social Media Content
  • Edit existing video footage into polished, engaging content for social media.
  • Create videos consistent with the style, tone, pacing, and overall quality of the content previously Life.
  • Produce short-form videos optimized for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Edit longer-form content for YouTube as appropriate.
  • Add captions, text overlays, transitions, music, sound effects, and other appropriate elements.
  • Ensure videos are properly formatted and optimized for each platform.
  • Repurpose existing footage into multiple pieces of content where appropriate.
  • Maintain consistency in visual style, messaging, branding, and storytelling across platforms.
• YouTube Channel Development
  • Assist in establishing and growing the brand's YouTube presence.
  • Create and publish video content on a consistent schedule throughout the week.
  • Repurpose existing social media footage into appropriate YouTube content.
  • Assist with video titles, descriptions, thumbnails, tags, and other basic YouTube optimization.
  • Help identify opportunities to turn existing footage into longer-form educational or engaging content.
• Cross-Platform Content Repurposing
  • Adapt Instagram content for TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Adjust video formats, captions, descriptions, titles, and presentation based on the requirements of each platform.
  • Maintain a consistent publishing schedule across multiple social media channels.
  • Help expand thLife beyond its existing Instagram audience.
• New Content Development
  • Develop drafts for new videos inspired by the established style and Life.
  • Create educational and engaging content focused on bears, wildlife, coexistence, and responsible interaction with animals.
  • Research relevant topics and content ideas that align with the account's mission.
  • Use existing footage and other approved resources to develop new concepts.
  • Submit all new video concepts and drafts for client review and approval before publishing.
  • Incorporate client feedback and revisions into final content.

Additional Virtual Assistant Responsibilities

• Researching media outlets, journalists, podcasts, and production companies.
• Reviewing and organizing incoming inquiries related to interviews, podcasts, filming, collaborations, and other media opportunities.
• Researching potential collaboration opportunities relevLife mission.
• Assisting with responses to media and collaboration inquiries as directed by the client.
• RepreseLife brand professionally when communicating with external contacts.
• Researching merchandise options, suppliers, products, and pricing.
• Assisting with merchandise research and order placement.
• Performing general virtual assistant and administrative tasks as assigned.
• Supporting other projects that help grow and deLife brand.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably creating content for social media.
• Strong experience editing short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and/or YouTube.
• Proficiency with professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or comparable tools.
• Strong understanding of social media video formats, pacing, hooks, captions, and audience engagement.
• Ability to take raw footage and turn it into polished, engaging content with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent visual quality.
• Strong organizational skills, particularly when working with large libraries of digital files and video assets.
• Experience working with cloud storage platforms such as Dropbox or Google Drive.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to research independently and present relevant information clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment.
• Strong judgment when handling external communications and representing a brand.
• Ability to receive feedback, make revisions, and work collaboratively with the client.

• Previous experience managing or creating content for a growing social media account.
• Experience with YouTube channel management and content optimization.
• Experience repurposing content across multiple social media platforms.
• Experience creating educational, documentary, wildlife, conservation, outdoor, or animal-related content.
• Experience with social media scheduling and publishing tools.
• Experience handling media, podcast, influencer, or brand collaboration inquiries.
• Experience with merchandise research or e-commerce support.
• Familiarity with wildlife, conservation, animal behavior, or environmental education.
