Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Mexico is seeking a Transportation Planner to analyze and develop transportation plans across the manufacturing and distribution network, ensuring smooth operations at optimal costs.

You will monitor shipment status, generate cost and carrier performance reports, and help design flows to reduce lead times while maintaining service quality. Fluency in English and 2+ years in transportation are preferred.

Role:

Analyzes and develops transportation plans to control the movement of commodities throughout a manufacturing or distribution network to ensure the smooth running of operations at optimal transportation cost levels.

What you’ll do:

• Analyzing transportation plans and identifying opportunities for improvements to meet client needs.
• Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems to provide information on shipment status, shipped date, in transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date.
• Generating and analyzing reports of transportation costs, carrier performance and lead times.
• Assisting in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity and providing solutions to reduce lead times.

Education Required:

• Bachelor’s degree to the Supply Chain field or related field
• Fluent English (Intermediate to Advanced)
