How will you do it:
- Lead and develop product engineering teams across four manufacturing facilities in Texas and Mexico, establishing consistent standards, processes, and technical capabilities.
- Drive engineering technical skill building initiatives across core disciplines including thermodynamics, control systems, and manufacturing methods, identifying capability gaps and implementing training programs to elevate team competency.
- Own and optimize the engineering change process across all facilities, ensuring disciplined change management, proper documentation, validation, and seamless coordination between product engineering and manufacturing operations.
- Ensure engineering team members attend daily production line meetings at the beginning of each shift for every product line, providing real‑time technical support and driving rapid issue resolution.
- Provide technical leadership on HVAC system design, thermodynamic performance, refrigeration cycles, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics as they relate to product testing, debugging, and manufacturing.
- Guide teams on control system use, sensor applications, and system performance validation in production environments.
What are we looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
- 12+ years of engineering experience in HVAC or related industries, with at least 7 years in engineering leadership roles.
- Strong technical foundation in thermodynamics, heat transfer, refrigeration systems, and HVAC system design.
- Solid understanding of control systems, sensors, and system integration, and electrical system debugging.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing methods including fabrication, welding, brazing, assembly, wiring, and quality processes.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency highly valued given facility locations.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly (30‑40%) to facilities in Texas and Mexico.
- Strong project management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Design Engineer – Valmont Utility Division
This position is an individual contributor responsible for structural analysis and design of products to be quoted and fabricated by the Valmont Utility Division, Steel Group, primarily of utility transmission and distribution structures.
Included in this is the full design responsibility for processing specific quotes and orders, general design engineering support for drafting and sales. The incumbent works on the Engineering Team who has responsibility for the design of products for quotation requests and orders. In addition, the incumbent plans, and monitors workflow of design activities to meet milestone dates for projects assigned. The Design Engineer will consult with senior engineers on the team to ensure that customer specifications are met and designs are feasible and efficient for manufacturing.
Essential Functions:
- This position reports to site Engineering Manager/Supervisor and has no direct or indirect reports.
- Analyze and design products by Finite Element Method and other structural design software taking into consideration public safety, manufacturability, and minimum cost.
- Interpret customer specifications, customer needs, and market/sales needs.
- Communicate engineering data to customer and others.
- Support efforts of the Drafting team to assure that project requirements have been properly detailed.
- Build and foster internal relationships and communications that promote a professional attitude.
- Recommend testing to confirm theoretical designs when necessary.
- Communicate information about new ideas, product and system improvements.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Technical competence in structural engineering.
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD and Auto CAD.

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess:
- Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering.

Cost Down Design Engineer – Danfoss
As our Cost Down Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting and leading cost down projects and initiatives working within a cross functional team. You will evaluate design changes, perform them and coordinate their validation to ensure compliant and reliable products according to Danfoss specifications.
