A manufacturing company located in Delicias, Chihuahua, is seeking a Planner I, Buyer to manage material procurement through the SAP system. Responsibilities include issuing purchase orders, maintaining supplier communication, and managing reports related to purchase orders. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree, at least one year of related experience, and proficiency in SAP and English. This role offers opportunities for both full-time and part-time positions.

Formación

  • Knowledge of SAP and associated PC software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Good spoken and written English (80% proficiency).

General Summary

The Buyer (MRP) is responsible for supplying direct materials required through the SAP system. The role places purchase orders with appropriate dates and quantities to support manufacturing requirements and direct sales orders. The Buyer addresses and resolves invoice discrepancies, manages MRP exceptions, sales orders, and quality notifications.

Responsibilities
  • Verify exception messages on the Collective Display of MRP List (MD06) and create or issue purchase orders, verifying availability in other plants for interplant transfers (STO type UB) or creating purchase orders to external vendors.
  • Communicate requirements to suppliers by phone, email, fax or other necessary means.
  • Maintain clear communication between buyer and supplier.
  • Understand the complete contents of a purchase order.
  • Run the Component Shortage Report for Maquilas (ZMM402) to transfer materials from Distribution Center to manufacturing plant using STO type ZSL creation.
  • Achieve and understand objectives assigned to meet goals.
  • Run a purchase requisition list (ME5A) and convert them to purchase orders according to system requirements.
  • Run an open purchase order report (ZMMRES / ZAMR6001) to verify pending orders or follow up with supplier.
  • Use the Sales Orders Scheduling Report (ZSCH) to sign off sales orders received at Distribution Centers.
  • Follow up to assure the supply of materials using SAP reports (ZAVR2011 – Sord Report and ZAVR1202 – Order Status Report).
  • Adhere to Safety, Health and Environment administration system requirements, policies, and applicable standards and procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related area.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Planning/Purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP and associated PC software such as Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good spoken and written English (80% proficiency).
