Job summary

ABB in Juárez, Nuevo León, Mexico, seeks a Trade & Transportation Specialist to oversee local import/export operations and supervise customs brokers. You will ensure compliance, documentation, and timely execution of trade activities within the unit.

You will maintain knowledge of import/export laws, regulations, and the IMMEX program, and collaborate with SAP and MS Office to analyze logistics data and improve processes. Intermediate English required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Commerce, Logistics or Industrial Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in logistics and transportation roles.
• Experience in export operations.
• Knowledge of the IMMEX Program.
• Plus experience in SAP & Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate English.

Responsibilities

• Acting as point of contact for customs brokers regarding clarifications on valuation or classification.
• Auditing customs brokers for correctness of customs entries, invoicing and archiving.
• Managing documentation and online forms for import/export activities.
• Maintaining knowledge of import/export laws, procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses and restrictions.

Trade & Transportation Specialist

Your Role And Responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for local import/export operations. Each day, you will supervise performance of customs brokers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Juarez, Nuevo Leon.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Acting as point of contact for customs brokers in case of clarification needs (e.g., regarding valuation or classification of products).
• Auditing customs brokers regarding the correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and archiving.
• Managing the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.
• Maintaining and sharing with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions.

Qualifications For The Role (Mandatory)

• Bachelors Degree in International Trade, Commerce, Logistics or Industrial Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in logistics and transportation roles.
• Experience in export operations.
• Knowledge of the IMMEX Program.
• Plus experience in SAP & Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for logistics data analysis and reporting.
• Intermediate English.
