Formación

Ge Digital is hiring a Thermal Power Plant Operations Specialist to join our team in Mexico.

Overview

This position will lead the customer adoption of GE's Operations Performance Management (OPM) software solution for power plants, delivering reduced emissions, improved operating efficiency and reliability. It involves all steps from implementation to adoption and support, bringing together industrial process knowledge, complex analytics, and the power of software to optimize systems.

Remote Work

Can work remotely within Mexico. The role is open for remote work opportunities with some travel required.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Leverage industry experience, equipment knowledge, software know-how, and customer satisfaction skills to deliver and support world-class performance and predictive analytics solutions to assigned customer accounts.
  • Serves as a best practice / quality resource.
  • Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area.
  • Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational / product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.

  • Manages customer relationship, maintains regular customer contact and manages expectations.
  • Works with the project team to execute key project steps:
  • Develop / Deploy and Tune ML / AI and modeling solutions for the customer.
  • Conduct post-installation benefits analysis.
  • Provide operator / engineer training on the use of the system.
  • Create software documentation (User Manual / User Guide).
  • Create customer reports to provide plant operation insights and recommendations.
  • Meet project deadlines and ensure quality.
  • Provide customer support as needed.
  • Deliver support within the scope of the Maintenance Agreements.
  • Work with the broader GE project team to coordinate efforts.
  • Provide technical support to the commercial teams and sales process.
  • Provide feedback to the Product Line and Development teams for product improvement.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college with advanced experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with GE Combustion systems (DLN).
  • Advanced Thermal Performance experience of power plants operability.
  • Thermal Modeling experience with industrial systems like Gate Cycle, Ebsilon, etc.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Must be able to legally work in Mexico.

  • Can adapt to gaps or exceptions to the processes and adjust accordingly.

Technical Expertise
  • Knowledge of performance test codes; PTC 4.
