Jabil in Mexico (Jalisco region) seeks a Test Technician to support the manufacturing test processes and assist Test Engineers with new equipment. You will respond to machine down events and help determine repair priorities with production teams.

The role requires solid PC skills, the ability to follow instructions, and clear written communication. You will generate daily line issues and downtime reports while ensuring test equipment spares are available and maintained.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Provides input for colleague performance appraisals.
• Assists Engineers when commissioning new test equipment.
• Offers technical assistance to technicians on shift and supports manufacturing test processes.
• Responds promptly to machine down calls and prioritizes repairs with manufacturing.
• Ensures adequate spares are available and coordinates preventive maintenance tasks.
• Escalates issues to Test Engineers as needed and communicates clearly.
• Instructs operators on safe and effective use of test equipment.
• Delivers daily line issue reports and periodic downtime summaries.
• Sources cost-efficient spare parts and may perform other duties as assigned.

• Sources spares from the most cost effective supplier.

• Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
