Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Specialist Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician for our Puebla, Mexico operations. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair components on wind turbines to ensure reliability and safety.

With at least 5 years in heavy machinery maintenance and 3 years on wind turbines, you will read schematics, work with HV/LV systems, and follow strict safety protocols in a field-based environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in maintenance of heavy machinery, with at least 3 years on wind turbines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic data.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems is essential.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Willingness to travel to various sites and work flexible hours.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on wind turbines, including inspections, lubrication, and component replacements according to manufacturer guidelines and internal procedures.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues within wind turbine systems.
• Conduct necessary repairs and replacements of turbine components, such as gearboxes, generators, blades, and control systems.
• Utilize specialized diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and assess the condition of turbine components.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in the maintenance management system.
• Ensure adherence to all company safety policies and procedures, including working at heights and in challenging environmental conditions.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and engineers to report on turbine status, identify recurring issues, and suggest improvements.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new wind turbines as required.
• Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies and maintenance techniques.
• Respond to turbine fault alarms and perform emergency repairs as needed.

About the Role

Our client, a leading company in the Energía sector, is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Specialist Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician to join our operational team based in Puebla, Puebla . This role is essential for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our wind farm assets. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on wind turbine equipment, contributing directly to the reliability and efficiency of our clean energy generation. • Proven ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic data.
