Job Summary

We are looking for a tech-savvy Tech Program Manager/Release Train Engineer (RTE) with a proven track record of driving complex, cross functional, strategic digital transformation initiatives. This role will lead multiple Agile teams/projects/ARTs, ensuring effective delivery of high-impact programs aligned with enterprise and digital goals.

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, self-motivated, and has excellent written and verbal communication skills while leading scrum teams and fostering dialogue with stakeholders. The candidate should be able to help design key processes and train and coach people in specific agile practices to achieve higher levels of scrum maturity.

Responsibilities

Agile Delivery & Facilitation

  • Facilitate Scrum of Scrums and structure work delivery across Agile Release Trains (ARTs) through ART ceremonies (PI Planning, ART Sync, PO Sync, System Demo)

  • Coach teams on Agile best practices and continuous improvements by monitoring key KPIs and metrics in JIRA/ Confluence (velocity, burndown, backlog health, cycle time)

  • Lead a few Agile teams through ceremonies, if and as needed (Stand-Up, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review and Demo, Retrospective)

  • Use data analysis and modelling to uncover insights and support decision-making

Project, Program, & Portfolio Execution

  • Oversee the full technology development lifecycle (scope, schedule, change, risk, vendor, and procurement)

  • Manage internal and vendor teams to ensure delivery meets business and compliance goals

  • Collaborate with Program/Portfolio Managers to ensure on-time, on-budget, and within-scope delivery

  • Proactively manage dependencies, risks, and cross-team coordination

  • Align technical execution and resource capacity with strategic business objectives

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Engage with portfolio stakeholders to ensure transparency, alignment, and business readiness

  • Prepare and present reports/ updates to PMO leaders, DIO executives, and lead steering committees

  • Prepare and manage communication plans, facilitate decision-making, and resolve conflicts

Governance & Reporting

  • Monitor and report program health, milestones, risks, and resource needs using PMO or custom tools/templates

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, standards, and documentation practices

  • Support vendor management and third-party integrations

  • Contribute to progress reporting, risk mitigation, and stakeholder satisfaction initiatives

Qualifications
  • Mandatory JIRA and Confluence proficiency

  • Mandatory SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or equivalent

  • Good to have Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

  • A bachelor\'s or master\'s STEM degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field

  • At least 7+ years of full-time hands-on IT project management experience and at least 3 years as an RTE in an Agile environment (having enterprise software development context)

  • Preferred: PMP, PMI-ACP, other SAFe certifications, data centre experience, using PowerBI or Tableau for reporting state of Agile

Skills & Experience
  • Experience in SAFe Program/Product Management

  • Experience as Scrum Master and RTE in enterprise-level Agile environments

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of managing financial and operational data

  • Skilled in managing multiple workstreams, teams, and stakeholder groups

  • Excellent communicator and collaborator with a practical, outcomes-driven mindset

  • Hands-on experience with Miro, Mural, JIRA, Confluence, and Agile reporting tools

  • Experience managing programs/projects related to backend/platform engineering, infrastructure, developer experience, DevOps/SRE, and engineering excellence initiatives such as tooling, automation, code quality, and technical standards
