Job summary

Jabil is seeking a technically proficient liaison to support manufacturing in transferring customer documents to production processes and to lead technical activities on the shop floor in Tijuana, Mexico.

The role requires interpreting assembly drawings, coordinating with engineers and assemblers, and ensuring accurate routing, data entry, and SAP updates. Training and process improvement responsibilities are included.

Qualifications

• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a PC with Windows OS and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including knowledge of Jabil software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence; read and understand visual aids.
• Ability to apply simple instructions.
• Ability to handle standardized situations with minimal variables.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret graphs.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary liaison between engineering and manufacturing for transfer of customer documents to manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical leadership to manufacturing personnel.
• Interpret assembly drawings and work with assemblers to create assembly work instructions.
• Advise engineering on tools and processes required for assembly.
• Set routing requirements, data standards and enter data into QM module.
• Implement correct status updates in SAP.
• Deliver Train The Trainer sessions for manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Assist in transitioning new products and prototypes to the floor for specific equipment lines.
• Review labor standards for re-costing and quoting labor.
• Assist in up-front planning for creating assembly work instructions.
• Assist in implementing ECO, ECR, BOM and Problem Feedback into manufacturing.
• Order stencils per Jabil Circuit design guidelines.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY Under general supervision, provides leadership in the technical support to the manufacturing organization to ensure adherence to assembly procedures, on-going quality and efficiency, success of new product introductions and prototype production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
