HARTING Technology Group seeks a Team Lead for Sustaining Engineering to drive cost reductions and process improvements in cable assembly operations. You will lead a cross-functional team, advance lean initiatives, and ensure rigorous KPI tracking.

You will partner with Product Management, Quality, and Sourcing to deliver sustained value and measurable savings while mentoring engineers across the organization in an international setting.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, project management, or NPI environment.
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
• Good understanding of cable assembly design and production workflows.
• Ability to identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities across BOM and processes.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional team.
• Clear communication with cross-functional teams and senior management.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings in manufacturing.

Responsabilidades

Objective

The Sustaining Engineering Team Lead directs a cross-functional team accountable for the development and execution of a structured cost reduction and process optimization roadmap across cable assembly operations. In this capacity, the role is responsible for cultivating the professional growth of team members, strengthening engineering processes, establishing measurable annual savings targets, and ensuring rigorous performance tracking against defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Primary Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for all sustainment activities related to serial production assemblies.
• Lead value engineering initiatives in collaboration with Product Management and Procurement.
• Collaborate in defining best practices and continuous improvement initiatives with Quote Specialists, Project Leaders, Industrial Engineering, Quality and Sourcing teams to align sustainment project priorities.
• Identify, analyze, and eliminate process inefficiencies across the full cable assembly value chain.
• Implement and sustain lean manufacturing methodologies and standardize processes across product families.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional sustaining engineering team
• Own and resolve recurring production and quality issues; lead structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for high-impact defects.
• Partner with Procurement to evaluate alternative materials/suppliers; collaborate with Quality Engineering on Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) closure.
• Define, monitor, and report KPIs; present progress to senior management on a regular cadence.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, project management, or NPI environment.
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
• Good understanding of cable assembly design, assembly fabrication processes, material planning, and basic production workflows.
• Ability to identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities across BOM and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional engineering team.
• Ability to manage priorities under tight deadlines.
• Clear and professional communication with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to present complex technical and financial topics clearly to senior management.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable cost savings and process improvements in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in an international team; fluent English required

• Reports to: HCS Director
• Works closely with: Quality, Industrial Engineering, Sourcing, Operations, and Product Management Teams.
