Descripción del empleo

We’re looking for a motivated Inside Sales Specialist to help grow MSCI’s Sustainability & Climate product line, including Carbon Markets. You’ll focus on prospecting across multiple client segments—asset managers, wealth managers, banks and corporates—to expand our presence across the Americas.

As part of the Inside Sales / Client Coverage team you’ll support global sales efforts by qualifying leads, educating prospects about MSCI’s Sustainability & Climate solutions, and driving new business. You’ll work closely with Sales Specialists, Product Marketing, Legal, Finance and Client Service to execute on the strategy and meet revenue targets.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and reach out to prospective clients (asset managers, wealth managers, banks, corporates) across North America and LATAM for Sustainability & Climate and Carbon Markets products.
  • Cold‑calling, cold‑emailing and follow‑ups to set up meetings.
  • Leverage market research, competitor intelligence and product insights to shape outreach.
  • Qualification & Opportunity Creation
    • Evaluate prospect needs; articulate value propositions of MSCI’s Sustainability & Climate Risk and Carbon Markets solutions.
    • Collaborate with Sales Specialists to convert qualified leads into opportunities.
  • Support Existing Clients & Renewals
    • Identify upsell/cross‑sell opportunities for Sustainability & Climate solutions.
    • Ensure clients are aware of new features, updates or product enhancements.
  • Pre‑Sales and Internal Coordination
    • Assist with RFPs, RFIs and due diligence.
    • Provide sample data demonstrations and product materials.
    • Coordinate with Product, Legal, Finance, Marketing and Client Service to support deal closure.
  • Metrics & Reporting
    • Track and report performance metrics (leads generated, meetings scheduled, conversion rates, pipeline value).
    • Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and internal systems for forecasting, pipeline hygiene and activity reporting.
  • Collaborate with Sales Specialists to determine workload and priorities.
  • Own the internal sales cycle process and ensure completion.
  • Coordinate contract preparation and data delivery, maintaining high standards for client experience.
  • Understand and contribute to client requirements, checking feasibility and pricing with internal teams.
  • Ad‑Hoc Projects
    • Participate in process‑enhancement projects to improve sales efficiency.
    • Other ad‑hoc projects based on sales needs for analysis and revenue growth.
Your Skills and Experience That Will Help You Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, environmental science, finance or a related field (advanced degree such as an MBA or master’s in climate science/sustainability is a plus).
  • At least 24 years of sales/inside sales/business development experience, ideally with climate risk, carbon markets or sustainability‑focused products.
  • Experience in prospecting, cold outreach and lead qualification.
  • Strong communication skills; able to explain technical or product‑driven material to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with metrics, forecasts and targets with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce or equivalent), MS Excel and/or analytics tools.
Preferred / Nice to Have
  • Experience selling to asset managers, wealth managers, banks and corporates.
  • Knowledge of regulations relevant to sustainability and climate risk in North America and LATAM.
  • Ability to work in English and either Portuguese or Spanish (depending on location).
  • Understanding of carbon markets (voluntary and regulated) and sustainability metrics frameworks (e.g., TNFD, TCFD, SASB).

  • Transparent compensation schemes and comprehensive employee benefits tailored to your location, ensuring your financial security, health and overall wellbeing.
  • Flexible working arrangements, advanced technology and collaborative workspaces.
  • A culture of high performance and innovation where we experiment with new ideas and take responsibility for achieving results.
  • A global network of talented colleagues who inspire, support and share their expertise to innovate and deliver for our clients.
  • Global Orientation program to kickstart your journey followed by access to LinkedIn Learning Pro and tailored learning opportunities for ongoing skill development.
  • Multi‑directional career paths that offer professional growth and development through new challenges, internal mobility and expanded roles.
  • We actively nurture an environment that builds a sense of inclusion, belonging and connection, including eight Employee Resource Groups: All Abilities, Asian Support Network, Black Leadership Network, Climate Action Network, Hola!
