A leading manufacturing firm in Reynosa, Mexico, is looking for a candidate to lead logistics operations supporting manufacturing plants and customers. Responsibilities include coordinating shipments and improving logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of materials. This role offers an opportunity to become a superuser of the Transportation Management System and assist with reporting for imports from Mexico to the US.

Description

You will be responsible to lead different aspects of logistics to support our manufacturing plants and customers.

In this positions you will be responsible for initiating and coordinating shipments between customers, plants and cross docks.

You will create, improve and follow processes and procedures around logistics strategies to ensure material arrives to plants and customers in a timely manner.

You will need to relate comfortably with people across levels, functions, cultures and geography.

It will be important to provide timely and accurate information to individuals across the organization for them to take action to accomplish objectives despite unforeseen obstacles or uncontrollable setbacks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the logistics for raw material and returnable packaging delivered to our manufacturing plants.
• Continually improve Emerson's logistics network in relation to speed, reliability and costs
• Work closely with multiple partners (e.g., carriers, cross docks, brokers, plants, analysts, suppliers) to make the best transportation decisions for Emerson
• Become Transportation Management System superuser and provide training for both suppliers and internal personnel
• Assist with reporting and document management for imports from Mexico to the US.
