POSITION SUMMARY
Vertiv has a transformational opportunity for a Supply Chain Analyst who will be a key partner for the Americas Procurement team, including Commodity Management, Supplier Management and Procurement Operations. The Analyst is responsible for processing Change Orders, which includes reviewing parts, identifying the correct supplier and Commodity Manager, and properly assigning commodity codes. The Analyst may also conduct initial follow‑ups with internal and external stakeholders to expedite the process, handle requests for technical drawing specifications and other Change Order related reports, and contribute to the team by delivering KPIs and initiatives through data evaluation to drive the Americas Procurement KPIs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather, scrub, and manipulate data to generate simple reports and analyses related to the Change Order process.
- Ensure predefined processes are followed to guarantee accuracy of information.
- Maintain the team's task tracking sheets, input new items, monitor on‑time delivery and aging items for closure.
- Support the regular updates of the team's KPI dashboards to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Complete workload on time and monitor timely transaction processing.
- Promote quality governance to mitigate stakeholder escalations.
- Support the implementation of error‑proofing methods to ensure all transactions are accurate.
- Conduct initial follow‑ups and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the team’s business overview presentations and KPI reporting to business partners.
- Assist stakeholder/supplier needs, servicing, follow‑up, cadence calls, and closure of issues.
- Provide timely feedback on stakeholder/supplier inquiries and requests.
- Provide solutions and sound recommendations to stakeholder/supplier basic queries and problems.
- Support conference calls, meetings, and discussions with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Coordinate with other teams/support to complete stakeholder requests.
- Record and submit periodic or quarterly transaction records, log sheets/trackers, and slide decks.
- Plan and collaborate on workload and projects with the team in cooperation with immediate superior.
- Participate in team meetings, huddles, and information cascades; communicate best practices, lessons learned, process and product updates.
- Gather data, analyze trends, generate and submit reports to immediate superior with recommendations.
- Use effective communication tools like flow charts, process flows, and diagrams to convey information.
- Assist the team lead in implementing identified opportunities and resolving challenges.
- Provide sound recommendations to leaders and stakeholders by translating and consolidating information for decision making.
- Complete individual development plan and implement agreed training/development activities.
- Support process improvement projects.
- Serve as backup for the next level function for business continuity.
- Assist in conducting functional training for peers.
- Fulfill other reasonable duties as required.
- Lead the revision of existing process documents.
- Support the creation of business requirement documents and other functional and technical documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2–4 years of experience in supply chain analysis or related roles, preferably in the HVAC industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, supply chain management, business, or a related field.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Minimum of 2 years of analytical experience performing detailed analyses.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with supplier outreach and communications.
- Experience with SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Smartsheets.
- Detail‑oriented, analytical, and results‑driven.
- Motivated problem solver.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build cross‑functional relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous requests and projects.
- Ability to work in a fluid environment without close supervision.
- Competent within the business domain and knowledgeable of business principles and solutions.
- Able to work in a team setting and assist stakeholders in articulating problems and opportunities, establishing viable testing plans, and reaching agreement on a quality future state.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
- Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits.
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
