Eaton IS VEH VGNA division is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to manage supplier quality issues, drive 8D problem solving, review supplier responses, and lead PPAP activities to ensure parts meet IATF 16949/ISO 9001 standards. This onsite role requires strong communication and data-driven mindset.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 2–3 years in a similar role, Yellow Belt, and fluent English. Mexico-based position with global exposure.

• PPAP process follow-up; SCR meetings and PSW approvals.
• Coordinate work with the Supplier Quality Analyst (SQA).
• Maintain safe work environment and promote Eaton’s ethics and quality policies.

Eaton’s IS VEH VGNAdivision is currently seeking aSupplier Quality Enginner JV.

Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new companywill provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

What you’ll do:

1. PRIMARY FUNCTION:State the primary function or overall purpose of your position.

• Review response and implemented improvements after a quality issue on components was reported to external or internal supplier. Ask for evidence of preventive / Corrective actions implemented by suppliers.

2. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:(Limit yourself to 8-12 statements) List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results) which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.

• Problem solving based in 8D
• Production line support and focus supplier activities (ensuring frequent follow up meetings, perfomance monitoring and corrective action follow up with key and low performing suppliers)
• Communicate quality issues to suppliers and sister plants
• Review supplier response to DMR in Wisper system, including process escalation for Hi-Impact DMR.
• Ask for disposition of non-conforming material to supplier after concluded sorting
• Prepare reports on parts- supplier performance. Update on time the quality metrics
• Scrap and Non-conforming material control and apply charge back to supplier due to scrap on quality issues.
• Responsible for Focus Supplier process.
• Follow up ZMPD/LMPD for quality issues related to external suppliers.
• PPAP Process follow up. SCR Meeting, PPAP RL, PSW Approval
• Coordinate the work with the Supplier Quality Analyst (SQA) working in the area.
• Implements, promotes, and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.

Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE.Describe any specialized knowledge or skill (e.g., technical, scientific, administrative, managerial) which your position requires.

• Completed bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, mechatronig engineering or related fields required
• 2 - 3 years of experience in similar area.
• Yellow Belt Certification.
• Intermediate - Advanced English proficient with strong verbal communication skills (comfortable leading meetings with international suppliers, presentig results and manging projects in English)

Skills:

QUALITY FUNTIONAL COMPETENCES

• Analytical / Statistical Tools & Methods. Knows the basic concepts of problem solving and analytical / statistical techniques, including 8D; Six Sigma; problem definition; basic data collection.
• Inspection & Testing. Consistent knowledge and use of tools and techniques for measuring systems and devices utilized across a broad range of applications.

Has the ability to perform basic analysis and reporting of inspection and test records.

• External Requirements. Has a basic knowledge and understanding of National and International Standards (e.g. IATF / AS / ISO) and where applicable other Industry related standards including specific customer requirements.
