Responsibilities
- Responsible for the entire warehouse operation (including goods receipt, material handling/storage, Kanban/Kitting, MRB/Quarantine, delivery of RM parts/subs to the production departments (internal customer), and shipping of FG to the sterilizer).
- Ensure the safety of all personnel working within the warehouse (including visitors to the warehouse).
- Ensure warehouse personnel are in compliance with the QMS at all times and achieve departmental KPIs (both internal and customer focused).
- Manage finished goods inventory to minimize stock in the FG location and handle any returns from the field.
- Attend the daily production/materials/quality overview meeting and agree initial disposition for any materials/parts with Production/Engineering/Quality and Material functions.
- Be familiar with the clinical use of Haemonetics products and instill in employees the importance of supplying products that meet customer needs; understand the technical aspects of the process.
- Control expenses to meet department budgets; coordinate overtime as needed to support the production schedule.
- Cover other areas of the plant as needed or assume responsibilities of group leaders.
- Develop key metrics for the warehouse operation, covering materials receipt, distribution, handling and packing; ensure metrics reflect corporate goals and internal customer needs (as defined collaboratively). Follow SMART goals.
- Ensure accurate and timely material receipt and concluding transactions for FG; ensure compliance to the QMS, adherence to SOP, cGMP, GDP and related regulatory controls.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the warehouse and follow 5S principles.
- Ensure loads are complete and ready for dispatch to the sterilizer without delay to the production plan.
- Segregate NDTS materials as required, provide inbound inspection samples, and correctly identify materials at all times (e.g., quarantine parts).
- Highlight shortages and drive to conclusion with the production and materials teams; ensure materials are available and loads are complete for dispatch to the sterilizer to ensure timely load release.
- Ensure the team is trained and aware of EHS requirements related to warehouse practices.
- Establish and maintain solid interdepartmental communications across Scotland and other Haemonetics facilities; enlist support as necessary to meet objectives.
- Identify and initiate process improvements; lead corrective actions where applicable to prevent problems and drive improvements.
- Lead the implementation and follow-up of the warehouse and materials distribution Continuous Improvement Program, including training, meetings, suggestions, space reductions, and efficiency plans.
- Lead/support site-wide audits (regulatory and customer) as required; ensure actions/findings are closed out as a priority.
- Maintain and upgrade the skills of personnel under supervision; provide performance appraisal, discipline where appropriate, career development plans, and training.
- Sign off on NCMRs, Corrections and local/Corporate procedures as required.
- Supervise Kanban/Kitting area to ensure materials are available and kitted for the build plan, and that materials are returned to the warehouse with WIP inventory kept as low as practicable.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and addressing complaints.

- Education Details: H.S. Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- EXPERIENCE
- Experience Details: 3 years managing materials flow, warehouse and inventory control, cycle counting (Required)
- SKILLS
- Effective leadership skills; ability to lead/manage others.
- TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS
- List Each Training/Certification: Forklifting certification (Required); Microsoft Office (Preferred)
Inventory accuracy (based on financial value of parts) to be above 99% for all locations.
