Intuitive in Mexicali is seeking a Supervisor for Final Quality Inspection (FQI) to lead a team responsible for inspection and testing of da Vinci surgical products. You will ensure adherence to QA procedures and drive continuous improvements across shifts and departments.

The role requires coordinating audits, training staff, and delivering on-time inspections while maintaining strict documentation and cross-functional collaboration with internal customers.

Formación

  • 3 years of experience in the position
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to provide written and verbal instruction
  • Ability to work across team organizations and diverse cultures
  • Clear and effective communication up, down and across organizations
  • Proficient with inspection tools and test equipment
  • Experience with ISI Quality Procedures
  • Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Detail-oriented with meticulous documentation of inspection/testing

Responsabilidades

  • Establish, track and report FQI goals and quality metrics
  • Coordinate and communicate within and across departments to address quality issues
  • Track recurring issues to achieve root cause corrective action
  • Ensure operations follow procedures
  • Perform periodic audits to verify procedures
  • Interface with internal customers to resolve nonconforming material issues
  • Drive on-time inspections to meet deadlines
  • Champion improvements in inspection method efficiencies
  • Provide training for FQI staff to ensure consistency
  • Maintain training records and complete trainings on time
  • Conduct personnel activities such as annual reviews and mentoring
  • Forecast capacity and analyze headcount and budget needs
  • Coordinate PMC activities with the PMC department
  • Support internal and external audits as necessary
  • Advocate 5S, lean practices and continuous improvement in daily work

Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

Supervises and coordinates all activities of personnel engaged in Final Quality Inspection (FQI) to ensure adherence to company quality assurance procedures. The Supervisor ensures that the FQI team provides quality support for sustaining operations by performing inspection and testing of da Vinci surgical products. This role is important in verifying compliance with all established specifications and requirements prior to final product release. The Supervisor also leads continuous improvement activities and other projects assigned by management.

  • Establish, track and report FQI goals and quality metrics
  • Coordinate and communicate within and across departments to address quality issues
  • Track recurring issues as needed to achieve root cause corrective action
  • Assure all operations are performed in accordance to procedures
  • Perform periodic audits to verify correct and consistent operations
  • Interface on a daily basis with internal customers and teams to resolve nonconforming material issues
  • Drive on time inspections to support company objectives and deadlines
  • Champion improvements in inspection method efficiencies to drive down cost of inspection. Provide metrics to management.
  • Provide training for FQI techs to ensure consistency of inspection process
  • Ensure training records are up to date and all training is completed on time
  • Perform personnel activities such as annual reviews and mentoring
  • Track headcount, interview candidates, and perform budget planning
  • Analyze forecast and determine capacity requirements
  • Ensure equipment and tools are available and in compliance with PMC due dates
  • Coordinate PMC activities with the PMC department
  • Support internal and external audits as necessary
  • Champion 5S methodologies, lean practices and continuous improvement in everyday activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

  • 3 years of experience in the position
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to provide written and verbal instruction
  • Ability to work across team organizations and diverse cultures
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively up, down and across organizations
  • Must be able to use all standard inspection tools, gauges and applicable equipment, tools and fixtures used to execute quality assurance procedures and test methods
  • Proven experience and knowledge of ISI Quality Procedures
  • Proficient in use of personal computers as part of daily work, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and SAP. Ability to use E-mail and the ACCS (Agile) system to retrieve and submit on-line documentation.
  • Ability to work varying shifts. Must have ability to complete training courses. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to use clocks, timers, calipers, rulers, and other test equipment as required. Meticulous attention to detail and orderly habits are required to accurately and completely document inspection/testing.
  • Flexibility, willingness to learn new tasks, ability to take‑on a variety of responsibilities big and small, and the need to fill-in for others when needed are highly preferred attributes for this position.
